New, new, new Year!

A beautiful sunny day looks afire as the sun sets on southern California
The sun sets on another year here at Earthbound Chronicles. Ah. I am so excited about the ending of 2010 and the beginning of an all new year. What a year it has been! 2010, if tallied, would having all of you sending me sympathy cards and trying to talk me off the ledge. It was that bad. I will not elucidate it all, no dear reader, I will save you from the dystopia. Suffice it to say that everything that could go wrong in a person’s life, save death of a loved, has happened this year. If a psychologist had me write down all that stuff to evaluate my mood scale, I’d be off the charts depressed. I’m not going to do that. I just want to move on, move away, and embraced a new beginning.A bacteria pool at Yosemite.

I will state firmly, as if my feet were in granite, that 2011 will be a brighter better year for me. If nothing more, I’m going to try my best to embrace the positive and ignore the negative. It’s hard when everything seems to be out of favor, but the favorite cat can only die once; the grandkids could be farther away, but I hope they don’t move again unless it’s to be closer than 3-400 miles away (both sets); and rain has finally returned to SoCal. That can’t be a bad thing really. Because look what blooms when the rains fall: Red and white tulips, just opening up for all to see.

First up, we are a hare’s breath away from being in Arizona. Yes, it is true. I’m going there for real! The ranch has been calling me for 5 years now and it is time to give it its due. We will transition over the next few months with a stay there date hopefully by Christmas 2011. It will be a work in progress. So s much so there have been who mentioned we should call TLC and let them in on two middle aged Americans giving up city life for the country with little or no money to do it on. Fun ensues!

Second, I will be updating my Momentile account on a daily basis. I joined for that reason and 2010 basically took its toll on my posting very few pictures this year. That will change. Along with Momentile’s upgrade, mine will take place also! I will be adding Instagram to the mix and possibly a photo site too.

Third, I will begin teaching classes in my home. I know a lot of different things I can share with other to improve their own lives. I’ve decided that small classes are the best way to accomplish that goal. I’m also going to be filming them and having those available for download in 2011.

Conferences! I have purchased a ticket to BlogHer this year. It’s being held in San Diego, I’ve got a free place to crash there and I look forward to meeting many of you there. I’m hoping to put together a pre-BlogHer party that will bring many of my IRL friends together with my online friends. Together we’ll celebrate all that is San Diego! Other conferences, I’m not sure. I wish I had saved for Blissdom. That would have been fun. Also the one in UT, what’s it named? I may go there too.

Anyway, I just want to thank you, dear readers, thank you for your support in a crummy year! You’re comments have helped quite a bit to keep me going. I look forward to the next year and hope you’ll stick around to see what happens! Happy New Year! Wishing you cupcakes and roses all year long!

Sorry that it was not a banner year of happiness for you but glad that you are embracing 2011 with a good and positive outlook. Best wishes with everything and especially with the move to the country. You will love it. We did it three years ago and have never looked back.
All the best to you for a healthy, happy year filled with pleasant events that make for great memories and great blogging!
